Roger Chartier's 2008 Motorcycle trip to the Bethel Woods Museum and up to Canada

August 2 - 6, 2008, I took a trip on my 1980 Goldwing motorcycle to Bethel Woods, the site of the original Woodstock festival that I had attended in 1969. I visited the Bethel Woods Museum dedicated to the Woodstock music festival and the events of the times. That night I had 2nd row seats to see the Hippiefest concert, The Hollies, Badfinger, Flo and Eddie from the Turtles, Melanie, Jack Bruce, And Eric Burden and the Animals. I had camped nearby for the night before and the night of the concert then I went up through New York state just below the Catskills and up through Vermont to Canada visiting Coaticook, Magog, Sherbrook, Lac Megantic , Chartierville and several small villages on the backroads of Canada.  There is a small backroad sort of highway (not really a highway) called RT108 it's very picturesque. There was a 2000 person - 7 days bicycle tour through Canada that I rode along with for a bout 30 miles up to Lac Megantic. The first night in Canada I had stayed overnight in Coaticook but came home next evening through New Hampshire stopping for the night in North Coway. A moose cut in front of me just south of Dixville Notch. Rain almost constantly through New Hampshire and home to New Bedford, Mass.  The pictures are not in chronicological order. THE END
